Emma is the developer relations lead and technical writer at TwitterAPIs. She writes the Twitter and X API guides published on this site, covering REST access to X data, authentication, rate limits, the write endpoints, and per-call pricing. She also answers the developer support mail, so the person who wrote a guide is the person who answers questions about it. Emma, developer relations at TwitterAPIs. Reach her at [emma@twitterapis.com](mailto:emma@twitterapis.com) or on [Telegram](https://t.me/Emma_comm). ## Who writes the guides Emma writes the Twitter and X API guides published on this site. The job is easy to describe and harder to do well: take the parts of working with X data that stop a project, and write the page she wanted to find when she hit the same wall. Most Twitter API tutorials assume you are willing to apply for a developer account, wait for review, and build an OAuth flow before you can read a single tweet. Emma writes for the other path. The guides here show how to reach X data over a plain REST call, the same way you would call any other HTTP service: a request, a bearer key, and a JSON response you can parse. That covers reading tweets, profiles, followers, timelines and search, and it covers the write side too, where she walks through the post, like, retweet, follow and direct-message endpoints with the exact request shape each one expects. A lot of the writing is about the questions that decide whether a project ships. What are the real rate limits, and how does throttling actually show up in a response? When is a session cookie genuinely required, and when is a bearer key enough? What does it cost to read X data at volume when you are billed per call at $0.0008 a read instead of committing to an annual contract? Those get answered with worked examples and real numbers rather than hand-waving, because that is what she would want as the person doing the integration. Emma also runs developer support. Email her about an endpoint, a status code you did not expect, or a billing edge case, and you reach the same person who wrote the guide. That loop is the point: the questions that arrive in support are the topics that become the next guide on this page. ## What she writes about ### REST access to X data Reading tweets, profiles, the follow graph, timelines, and search over plain HTTPS, with no developer-account application and no app review. ### Auth and tokens What a bearer key buys you, where a session cookie is still needed, and how to read an auth failure instead of guessing at it. ### Rate limits and pricing Per-key limits, how throttling shows up in a response, and what per-call billing costs once a job runs at volume. ### Write endpoints The authenticated post, like, retweet, follow, and direct-message paths, with the request shape each one expects. ## Articles by Emma [ ### Twitter API authentication in 2026 What the token model actually requires, where OAuth is unavoidable, and how to read a 401 instead of guessing at it. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/twitter-api-authentication)[ ### Twitter API rate limits explained The real per-window limits, how a 429 surfaces in your responses, and how to keep a long job moving without tripping them. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/twitter-api-rate-limit-guide)[ ### Twitter API cost in 2026 A total-cost-of-ownership breakdown across providers, including the parts that do not appear on a pricing page. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/twitter-api-cost)[ ### Using the Twitter API with Python Pull tweets, profiles, and search results from Python over plain HTTPS, with one request call and a bearer token. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/python-twitter-api-tutorial)[ ### How to scrape tweets in 2026 Build a collector that survives pagination limits, rate limits, and the shape changes that break most scrapers. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/how-to-scrape-tweets)[ ### Twitter API pagination How next\_token works, where cursor paging silently truncates a result set, and the simpler alternative. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/twitter-api-pagination)[ ### Twitter API error codes A complete reference for the status codes and error payloads the API returns, and what each one means for a retry. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/twitter-api-error-codes)[ ### Twitter search and advanced operators The operator syntax the search endpoint accepts, how operators combine, and which ones quietly change your result count. ](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs/twitter-advanced-search-operators) Every guide on the [blog](https://www.twitterapis.com/blogs) carries the same byline.
